In the field of oscilloscope probes, Micsig has consistently set industry trends with its innovative and superior products. Through our team’s relentless efforts and meticulous R&D, the RCP series of flexible current probes has welcomed a new member—the RCP6000XS. This latest addition builds on the RCP series’ proven performance while delivering a significant breakthrough in peak current measurement, increasing the upper limit from the previous 3,000 Apk to 6,000 Apk, thereby offering users an expanded range of options for current‑measurement applications.

The RCP6000XS features an expanded bandwidth of 2 Hz to 30 MHz and a maximum measurable current of 6,000 A peak. This enhanced performance meets the demands of measuring high‑frequency, high‑current signals, particularly in applications such as motor drives—e.g., variable‑speed drives (VSDs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), or switch-mode power supply (SMPS) circuits—for power‑quality analysis. It also supports dual‑pulse dynamic testing, enabling high‑current measurements at the pins of MOSFET and IGBT devices made from materials like silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN). Additionally, it facilitates the development and diagnostics of other high‑current power converters, offering electronic engineers a more robust solution for AC current measurement.
